Insurance & HSA / FSA
Jai Yen is not in-network with any insurance providers, however you can potentially use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Spending Account (FSA) to potentially cover our treatment services.
FSA & HSA
An HSA is a form of savings account that is pre-taxed to pay for medical expenses. An FSA is a spending account, just like a checking account that is used to pay for healthcare cost such like your deductible, copayments, and coinsurance. FSA accounts generally have an annual limit. Both accounts cannot be utilized to pay insurance premiums. It is always best to check with your insurance company to see what expenses qualify under these plans. According to FSA Eligibility website, "Most alternative treatments should qualify, however they must be primarily for the treatment of a specific medical condition and not for general health purposes."

-
Individual Plan Variations: Coverage can vary between different HSA and FSA providers, and individual plans may have specific guidelines.

-
Keep detailed receipts and required documentation.
-

CHIROPRACTIC & ACUPUNCTURE
Chiropractic and Acupuncture services are utilized at Jai Yen Chiropractic and Wellness. Chiropractic and Acupuncture has been considered "alternative treatment" although there are medical conditions that maybe treated by these modalities. Chiropractic care is usually covered by HSA / FSA however it is best to check with your insurance provider to clarify. Acupuncture is derived from traditional Chinese medicine and has been utilized for various health concerns, again it is best to clarify with your insurance provider if this would be reimbursed through your plan. For more information on these modalities, see the specialities tab.
